Blue Dragon Review

This anime is kinda kidish, but it is also classic Akira Toriyama! The characters remind me a lot of his style, the young kid as goku from dbz, the silver haired boy reminds me a lot of trunks, and there is always the perverted panty loving freak in the group! What can you say, thats his style. I'd definitely say this anime is directed more towards kids for the most part but there is a fair share of perversion to go along with it, just so your warned. If your a fan of Akira Toriyama then you will love this, but if not then you may be wondering what in the world this guy is thinking. Personally i'm used to more of a combat anime where they actually train to get stronger, so far there has been little to none of that in this anime, its basically just raw power from the person's shadow counterpart. Its about people, less than like 1% of the population, who have these counterparts which are their shadows, but the shadows are animals such as a bull or a cat or a dragon which can fight for the person whom it belongs to. These shadows are attached to each of the people so they have to move around with them when fighting like this. I've seen no real way for the individuals to increase the power of their shadows as of this point in the anime, but all of it hasn't been posted yet. Its definitely a new concept and its will hold your interests for a few episodes, but as i've stated before this to me seems more of a anime for kids than for adults unless you just enjoy the panty loving parts and the large breasts.
